There will be NO SCHOOL or
CHILD CARE for Lower School this Friday, March 12, 2010 due to LS
Parent/Teacher Conferences. Middle and Upper School will be in
session and students will be dismissed at the normal Friday time
(1:45pm).

SPRING BAND CONCERT
|
|
Do not miss an
entertaining evening, this Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the annual
Spring SFCS Band Concert - “Make A Joyful Noise”! The concert time is
7:00pm-8:00pm in the Student Activity Center (Gym). Admission is
free. The concert features the 4th Grade Cadet Band, 5th Grade
Platoon Band, MS Battalion Band, MS Brigade Band, US/MS Eagle Band and
the SFC Eagle Band Drum Line. The different bands will perform Hymns
and Classical selections from the Concert Band repertoire. Closing
the evening will be two selections with the combined mass band (4th
through 12th grades).

HIGH TECH FAIR
|

Grade 7 – 12 Students and
Parents, the San Diego Science Alliance invites you to the High Tech
Fair on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Del Mar
Fairgrounds. Do not miss this opportunity to see fascinating,
hands-on demonstrations of the latest applications of science and
technology.

SFC SOPHOMORE COLLEGE
EVENT
|

“How to Guide and Advise
Your Sophomore” All sophomore parents are invited to attend an
informational event on Thursday, March 11 from 4:30pm-5:45pm in the
Chapel. Student attendance is optional. Special guest speakers are
Rob Hambrecht, Passport Admissions – “Demystifying the U.S. News
& World Report Ranking” and Ryan Kiick, Eureka Test Prep. In
addition, there will be Family Connection Training in the Library
Computer Lab from 6:00pm-6:30pm by RSVP only with Mrs. Huey. Please
call her at extension 1024 to make an appointment.

“CREATING YOUR FOUR-YEAR HIGH SCHOOL PLAN”

All 8th Grade students and
parents are invited to attend an informative session to better
understand the requirements and electives offered during your High
School years. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, 4:30pm – 5:45pm in the Chapel.

SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS –
TEEN CAR CONTROL CLINIC
|
|
On Saturday, March 20,
8:00am–5:00pm at Qualcomm Stadium there will be a clinic designed to
teach young drivers car control in emergency situations and how to
apply safe driving procedures. It is 4 hours of class instruction and
4 hours of on-course driving. A parent/guardian must attend with
their teen driver and it is open to the first 60 applicants meeting
the program criteria. You may pick up an application in the US office
and for more information contact Will Haifley, at 858-756-4415 or
email info@FairbanksRanch.org.
Applications must be turned in to the office by March 11. This
program is in participation with San Diego County Sheriff’s
Department and the California Highway Patrol.
